Every Wednesday between mid-August, through May, beginning at 7:00 pm, the congregation gathers for Evening Prayer.
During Advent and Lent we have formal Evening Prayer services, preceded by a fellowship meal. The meal begins at 5:45 pm. During Advent, the service follows Evening Prayer, except that the Benedictus is sung instead of Psalm 141. The Lenten service also follows Evening Prayer, except that the Litany is prayed instead of the standard prayers.
At other times, the Wednesday service is more informal. It’s really more like a one hour Bible Study, set within a fifteen minute Evening Prayer liturgy.
