In general, Sunday Morning Adult Class takes up issues of Christian Doctrine. This fall our attention is on the Judeo-Christian World View, which encompasses both the nature of reality, and the moral law that arises from that reality.
Since August 23, we have been studying the larger implications of the Fourth Commandment (“Honor your father and your mother”) and the Eighth Commandment (“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”) Looking at the big picture, we are considering the importance of respecting Heritage and Authority (Fourth Commandment), and the importance of maintaining a healthy social order (Eighth Commandment), if human beings are going to flourish in this world.
